Wineport - DTC Compliance

Wineport DTC Compliance screens every Commerce7 Ship order against state DTC rules and calculates excise tax at current state rates.

The assessment appears in a Wineport Compliance tab on the order itself: compliant orders get a green light, and anything that needs a closer look is marked for your team to review. It's advisory — Wineport shows the assessment alongside the order and leaves fulfillment entirely to you.

The Wineport Action Center is available from within your Commerce7 admin — see filings coming due, licenses expiring, and orders awaiting review, so compliance status is one click from where your team already works.

What it does

Wineport screens Commerce7 orders automatically

• Screens Ship orders against six checks: destination legality, license validity, per-person volume limits, carrier coverage, and more
• Shows a compliance assessment in a Wineport Compliance tab on the order in your Commerce7 admin
• Re-check compliance from the Actions dropdown re-evaluates an order instantly — useful after renewing a license or any other change
• Calculates excise tax at agency-verified rates for 44+ states, tiered by wine type (still / sparkling / fortified) and true bottle-size volumes
• Excludes refunded and cancelled orders from tax totals automatically

Scope

Apps outside Commerce7's fulfillment routing path do not interact with shipments. Wineport shows an advisory compliance assessment — on the order and in your dashboard — for your team to review. It doesn't change orders, set an order's status, or affect fulfillment. Your team stays fully in control.
